Important Update!

Thank you for your interest in Games in Education.  Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Games in Education 2018.  As a 501c3, Games in Education Foundation requires the support of volunteers, corporate partners and individuals to promote its mission. Although we have a number of strong community supporters we have found ourselves short of volunteers and funding compared to prior years. This is in part due to the delayed start in organization due to the car accident that Tobi Saulnier was in at the beginning of the year, and the subsequent reduced ability for 1st Playable Productions to provide the same level of staffing and funding. The committee has decided that our best efforts and resources would best spent supporting the Teen Game Workshop and other community efforts such as the TVHS Innovation Institute, which will still be held on August 22 and 23rd (please see below for more information. We hope to see you there!).

In the meantime, Games in Education registration refunds will be made to those who have already registered. As always donations will be used only in support of Teen Game Workshop and GiE related activities in the future. We will revisit the possibility of resuming Games in Education in 2019 at the end of this year.

Thank you for your role as an educator looking to find ways to use technology, inspire students, and share best practices with other educators. We are always inspired as much by the attendees of GiE as we are the presenters. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Check out our friends at the Tech Valley Innovation Institute!

The Innovation Institute is a two-day summer workshop for K-12 educators and administrators who are interested in innovative instructional practices. Its goal is to share & highlight the work that is being done at schools across the region to create engaging learning opportunities for students.
